Palm Cove Alliance Inc. is a volunteer-run, registered Australian not-for-profit organisation and an Incorporated Association (ABN: 28913639343).

Our Core Activities & Mission:

We are dedicated to protecting and enhancing the "Place" component of Palm Cove, our unique natural environment, village character, and coastal lifestyle through proactive community initiatives:

Community Research & Feedback: We use Council surveys along with our own independent feedback surveys to ensure local voices are represented in municipal planning.
Traffic & Infrastructure Advocacy: We actively engage with local government councils to advocate for sustainable traffic management, pedestrian safety upgrades, and practical parking solutions along the Esplanade.
Environmental Preservation: We champion the protection of Palm Cove's iconic beachfront, local tree canopies, and unique melaleuca forests against overdevelopment.

Palm Cove did not become one of Australia's most admired tourism villages by accident.

Its Melaleuca and Palm canopies, Coral Sea and island vistas with its sunrises and moonrises, village scale, beachfront setting and relaxed tropical lifestyle are the product of landscape, community and decades of considered planning decisions.

Visitors come from across Australia and the world because Palm Cove offers something increasingly rare — a destination that has grown from its environment while remaining connected to it.

That character is not guaranteed.

As Tropical North Queensland continues to grow, Palm Cove has an opportunity to secure its future through strategic planning, investment and place-based decision making that protects the qualities that make it distinctive.

The challenge is not whether Palm Cove will change, but whether future change strengthens or weakens the experience that residents, businesses and visitors value most.
