The 'little things' make a big difference. Our Minor Projects focus on the maintenance and repairs that keep Palm Cove pristine. By using the My Cairns App, our community helps Council identify and fix local issues quickly. We take this opportunity to thank the Council workforce for their ongoing commitment and the excellent job they do in maintaining our public spaces—their efforts ensure the character of our village is preserved, one repair at a time.
Our community advocacy tracks local maintenance needs to ensure Palm Cove remains safe, accessible, and beautiful for everyone:
Public Infrastructure: Monitoring beachside showers, barbecues, water fountains, and lighting.
Footpaths & Boardwalks: Monitoring walkways along the esplanade to ensure safe pedestrian access.
Parks & Landscape Care: Reporting damaged trees or overgrowth to protect our iconic melaleuca canopy.
Signage & Markers: Ensuring community information boards and safety signs remain clean and legible and free of graffiti vandalism.
Preserving our village is a collaborative effort. If you notice a broken park bench, a cracked footpath, or malfunctioning public infrastructure, please report it immediately to help keep our neighbourhood safe.
