What makes Palm Cove truly remarkable? It’s the melaleuca forest meeting the Coral Sea, the village scale, and a sense of intimacy that exists nowhere else in Australia.
Palm Cove Alliance has distilled years of community feedback into a single strategic vision: "A Future Built on Being Truly Remarkable."
This document isn't about building something new—it’s about finally building something worthy of what is already here. It reflects the consistent voices of residents and visitors who want to see Palm Cove’s unique character protected by design.
📍What the Community Has Asked For
Data from years of engagement shows a clear consensus on what matters most:
- Preservation: 95% of the community wants to preserve Palm Cove’s unique character and natural beauty.
- Safety & Walkability: There is a strong call for cars and parking to be moved away from the foreshore to make way for safe footpaths and a pedestrian esplanade worthy of the ocean it borders.
- Strategic Projects: The vision introduces seven key projects, including the Williams Esplanade reconfiguration and the Wangetti Wander trail loop, to turn these community priorities into a reality.
🤝Definingly Different
Palm Cove is not the Gold Coast or Noosa—and the community wants to keep it that way. By seeking formal recognition as a Tourist VIllage and Wellness Precinct, this vision aims to protect our low-rise scale and the iconic melaleuca canopy for the future.
Whether you are a local who walks the winding paths daily or a "purposeful traveller" who comes here to restore, this vision belongs to everyone who loves the Cove.
